ACP Culture+ is a program implemented by the Secretary of the ACP Group of States (African, Caribbean, and Pacific) and financed by the European Union in the 10th European Development Fund framework for a total of 30 million Euro. The goal of the ACP Culture+ Program is to fight against poverty through the support and consolidation of a solid cultural industry in the ACP countries, to strentghen its contribution to the social and economical development and to ensure the preservation of cultural diversity.
In general, the wide objective is to promote cultural diversity, to strenghten young movie-makers professional skills and their financial networking. Specifically, the aim is to support the artist network and spread the international diffusion (and production) of documentaries.
Enhancing, within the boundaries of the three countries, the documentary production, the skills of self promotion and fund raising for both national and international projects.
Financing 18 documentaries winners of a competitive contest reserved to young artists of Haiti, Cuba and Dominican Republic.
Organizing and partecipating to documentaries-dedicated festivals in Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Italy and Spain with the aim of promoting artists and their activities.
