Description
The Syrian crisis has reached its 6th year and the consequences for children have worsened with more than 2.000.000 children estimated to be out of school and 1 out 4 school being damaged, destroyed or occupied as shelter. The project aims to scale up the access to quality education in the two targeted governorates, through the rehabilitation of schools, including WASH equitable services taking into consideration both inclusive and gender based approach. With this intervention, students will be provided with a safe environment more consistent to their needs.
Objectives

Supporting the children victims of the Syrian war to access to quality education.

Activities
  • support the rehabilitation and development sanitation facilities in schools and provision of drinking water;
  • provide protective, inclusive, quality learning environments equipped with teaching learning materials and coupled with community mobilisation;
  • scale up non formal education opportunities for out-of-school children and children at risk of dropping out;
  • support professional development for teacher.
