“Daily life in Area C” is a communication and awareness-raising project financed by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO), and created by the non-profit organization GVC, and planned within a broader action strategy aimed at improving the living conditions of the communities residing in the oPt, namely ensuring the access to safe water.
Firstly, the campaign involved the local communities in the realization of pictures narrating the critical conditions they face living in Area C, as special fragments isolated from the rest of Palestine.
Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with four university in the West Bank, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees – UAWC and the Palestinian Hydrology Group - PHG we produced the documentary "Resonance...Voices of vulnerability in Area C", describing the daily life inside the villages in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The photographs and the documentary create narrative images through the eyes and voices of those who live under occupation every day.
The pictures were exposed for the first time in the occupied Palestinian territories and then the exhibit moved to several Italian cities.
